We are pleased to announce our very own branch chair, Angus Nairn, won Branch Chair of the Year at Branch Personnel Day 2017!

Of his win, Angus said: “I made the decision to try to attract new members to the branch and organised a branch re-launch event and attended a number of school careers events.  The branch now has a healthy number of branch members and committee members and is continuing to grow. The branch engages with other law societies and I am now committed to having student representation on the committee and to provide CPD training and social events for the branch in the future”.

Past Events

Drinks Events

The newly invigorated Bournemouth and District Branch held informal drinks events in November in both Bournemouth and Dorchester. The Branch covers a wide geographic area and were pleased to be supported by a variety of familiar faces, as well as lots of new faces. We are also pleased to have been joined by several members of the Bournemouth & District Law Society. The events were enjoyed by all and proved really positive in terms of planning the Branch's objectives for 2019. Ultimately, we want to be a Branch which works for our members. In order to achieve this, we need to know what you want and need from us.

Our next event will take place on 16 January, in Bournemouth, and will be a quiz in support of our nominated charity - Teddy 20. Fell details to be circulated shortly.

In the meantime - if any student require study support in the build up to the January exams, they should not hesitate to contact the Branch for support.
